I LOOK AT MAKEUP AS A WAY TO CREATIVELY EXPRESS YOURSELF WHILE CONFIDENTLY SHOWING THE WORLD WHO YOU ARE
Nothing compares to that feeling of looking in the mirror and feeling like your true authentic self and beauty are shining through.
I LOVE that feeling, and my mission is to help my clients build their confidence and carry it forward into their day-to-day lives.
As a child, I spent countless hours in front of the mirror, styling my hair and applying makeup, because it made me feel empowered and beautiful. Taking the time to pamper yourself is a huge self-care tool that can make such a big improvement in your self confidence.
A BIT MORE ABOUT ME
I started out in the wedding industry as a photographer when I was only 15 years old
I’ve been a makeup enthusiast and artist since I was 10 years old and even did hair for my sister’s friends for their grade 8 graduation
I moved to Kelowna, British Columbia in 2020 from Kitchener, Ontario
I am also a wedding and lifestyle photographer and own Audrey Mills Photography where I often do makeup for my photo shoots.
My favourite things include my cat Frannie, rap music and hiking the beautiful Okanagan.
I have been obsessed with makeup since the age of 10. I knew from a very young age that I wanted to become a makeup artist “when I grew up”. Well I grew up and I am now living out my dream.
After years of applying makeup to myself and trying out different mediums and techniques, I started off as a self-taught artist and did makeup for friends and family.
As I got older and wanted to learn more, I had the choice of going to beauty school or taking private training through a mentor. After doing a lot of research, I decided to professionally train under Kelsey Brynn Artistry because I absolutely love her work, I wanted one-on-one training, and I wanted more real world experience. Not only did she teach me a ton about the industry and current techniques but I learned a lot about ethical and clean beauty.
I am consistently learning new things in the makeup world and am super excited to continue this journey and grow my knowledge.
